Laser optics includes all the optical elements and optical systems used within lasers or for manipulating—or transmitting—laser light. Laser optics components have more stringent requirements on surface quality and coating compared to standard imaging optics. Surface quality must be high in sensitive laser applications, especially for laser mirrors and prisms. Optical losses must be minimized. Components must have high laser damage thresholds, especially if they are to be used with high-energy pulsed lasers such as Q-switched high-power lasers.
Shanghai Optics manufactures a wide range of high-precision laser optics. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to manufacture high-quality optics components that perform consistently under even the most demanding conditions and are suitable for use in CO2 lasers, high-power fiber lasers, solid-state lasers, and laser diodes. Our line of laser optics includes laser lenses, laser line filters, prism mirrors, and laser line beamsplitters.
Laser optics can be made of a variety of substrates, including BK7, H-K9L, Sapphire, UV-grade fused silica, IR-grade fused silica, calcium fluoride (CaF2), magnesium fluoride (MgF2), zinc selenide (ZnSe), zinc sulfide (ZnS), gallium arsenide (GaAs), germanium (Ge), and silicon (Si). Dielectric coatings are often used to improve mirror reflectivity for both S and P polarizations. For most laser applications, filter transmission or reflectance over a very narrow band (the laser line width) is key, and both the substrates and coatings must be chosen carefully to improve the optical performance of the laser-based devices. Ultrashort pulse lasers are the exception; they have a large spectral bandwidth and require lenses and filters with broad transmission ranges.
Our laser lenses are precision lenses designed for use in laser-based devices for applications such as laser illumination, laser collimation, and laser scanning. They can also be used for laser line generation, laser tracking, laser cutting, laser welding, laser dimensioning, and laser processing. Our full catalog of high-quality laser lenses includes both spherical and aspherical lenses, as well as Axicon lenses, Powell lenses, and cylindrical lenses. BK7, H-K9L, Sapphire, UV-grade fused silica, IR-grade fused silica, calcium fluoride (CaF2), magnesium fluoride (MgF2), zinc selenide (ZnSe), zinc sulfide (ZnS), gallium arsenide (GaAs), germanium (Ge), and silicon (Si) are some of our many substrate choices.
Laser Aspheric Lens: Our laser aspheric lens is meticulously designed to eliminate almost all spherical aberration. With a diameter of 75 mm and a thickness of 35.5 mm, this lens is crafted from high-quality H-K9L material, ensuring exceptional clarity and durability for a wide range of laser applications.

A laser line filter is a narrow bandpass filter that effectively rejects all unwanted out-of-band radiation and ambient light while transmitting only a specific spectral band. They can be used to increase image contrast in laser-based imaging applications or to prevent signal distortion in laser measurement devices. Shanghai Optics produces laser line optical filters covering laser wavelengths from UV to visible to infrared light. Laser filters feature ultrahigh transmission (T > 90%) at laser wavelengths and greater optical density (OD > 5) in the blocking regions.

A laser polarizing beamsplitter cube consists of a pair of high-precision right-angle prisms that are cemented together with a dielectric coating on one of the two diagonal surfaces for splitting a randomly polarized laser beam. Laser polarizing beamsplitter cubes transmit p-polarized light and reflect s-polarized light. We offer a large selection of laser polarizing beamsplitter cubes, optimized for various wavelengths and laser types.

Our laser line non-polarizing plate beamsplitters are designed to split laser beams 50/50 at a 45° angle of incidence. The beamsplitters exhibit almost no absorption, and the transmission/reflection ratio (50/50) is insensitive to the input beam polarization state. The high laser damage thresholds make the beamsplitters suitable for demanding laser applications. We manufacture laser line non-polarizing plate beamsplitters with 12.5 mm and 25 mm diameters, as well as a 50 mm square variant.
